1 week old!

Izzy is 1 week old! I'm so happy that she is doing very well. At our first pediatrician visit they had to weigh her 2 times because she was already weighing more than her birth weight and they couldn't believe it- 8 lbs!! Of course we are totally in love with her! I have lots of great pics from a really nice camera that graham brought home to use from work so I'll post some of those soon. She had some visitors from graham's work yesterday and also graham's dad and his kids are visiting from California so they've got to meet her too. Mom mom left yesterday and we are all very sad around here. It was so wonderful having her here and it is amazing what she did around the house and to pamper me! Thanks mom-I love and miss you! It's so nice to be able to share pics with everyone who is watching Izzy grow!

going home with our little bundle

Here are some more pictures of our little Izzy.
We came home today and are working on adjusting to life with the 3 of us! I can't believe how fast our stay at the hospital went- everyone was so helpful and wonderful. I wish we could've taken all the nurses home for a little longer, but of course there is no place like home! I'm going to write up the birth experience for those of you who are interested in reading it, and because as my dad suggests would be super cool for Izzy to read when she is older, and so I don't forget!

Welcome Izzy!!!!

Our little bundle of poop and whine came on July 3rd at 5:43am (long freaking night). The little girl weighed in at 7lbs 13oz and stretched out to almost 21 inches long. Even though I'm a completely subjective judge, she is way cute. Here are a few teaser pics to support my case. Don't worry, more pics will be on the way as this blog becomes "Blog Izzy".

41 weeks!

Today I am 41 weeks pregnant! I chickened out of taking the caster oil this week, so we'll see what happens in the next few days. I have my doctor appointment tomorrow morning at 9am....I'm feeling a little anxious about what she is going to say....and if I'll be leaving the office without going up to labor and delivery?! I hope so! Izzy has been so active the past few days....maybe exploring around inside for the last few times....I'm hoping anyway!

I've also included the progression of my pregnant belly slide show for your viewing pleasure! Here's to hoping this is the last week of being preggos!

Flowers in bloom

The pink tree in our front yard has bloomed out and is beautiful! Also the roses and other plants that Leanne planted while she was here are looking pretty good and flowering! Yeah -I haven't killed them yet!! I also included a picture of stubbies sleeping in a sunbeam- so cute!

Mom was set to go home today, but lucky for us she is going to stay --yeah! I'm so glad you're here mom!! I guess Izzy wanted a July birthday!

final baby doodads

While waiting for Izzy to arrive we have shopped for a few final doodads- which has been fun and helped the time go by fast. Elvis has already tried out the swing of course and graham had to try the Baby Bjorn! Wow-those reflective strips really stand out don't they?!
