yesterday while I was cleaning the kids' room they snuggled up in their jumbo bed (beds pushed together) and wanted to have a relaxing snack. I love the sun their room gets in the afternoon. Looks cozy doesn't it?! I know I will so miss afternoons times together like this when my kids are grown.

 How could I not take a picture of these two cuties??

 tonight was a beautiful fall evening, warm enough to play out back in the backyard for a bit and to make a giant leaf pile. Graham snapped some pics of the kids and I ....good times, good times.
I love to see pictures of the kids and I so happy and enjoying little treasures - "pennies" - in life. And to document them in their "baby book" (i.e. blog) for the future.

I walked home from my friend's house with izzy today. We walked super slow- izzy speed- and she talked about the stained glass windows, her lollipop, quiet/loud streets, going to the park, pinecopes, trees, etc. and it felt good to be able to just be with her. Usually I'm hurrying her along to get to school, rushing home to make lunch, talking about why she should really wear socks, trying to keep it together admist a toddler tantrum, etc etc. Those "real life" moments, the times when you just have to walk out of the house before you loose your sanity, take a piece of chocolate and hide in the bathroom,  or text a friend to let her know you are slowly loosing your mind from toddler fighting/whining- those can feel really big. so...It's nice to have a place to put down the little penny moments that bring with it the big "life is good" feelings and the pictures that capture our love for each other and being together. We are blessed.
