Thank you Iz for bringing sunshine to our lives every single day. Why do the years go so quickly?! I am loving watching you grow up and finding out more about who you are. I feel so overwhelmingly blessed to have you as my little girl and to be able to spend every day with you. I love you so much. Thank you for all my pictures and hugs and smiles. You make me laugh and remind me to relax, enjoy life and have fun. You are such a sweet and determined little one. You have a fire inside you and I hope it never goes out, my little firecracker. Happy birthday!

At 4 years old you love to draw and do art projects. You still sleep with bunbun- your best buddy for all time. You love your new scooter and choose to ride that over your bike-although you can ride a 2 wheeler with no training wheels! Your favorite place to go is the mall, lol. You love to read books at the book store, play in the play area, and eat a giant salt pretzel. You are becoming a fun big sister and will play with bodie more now! You have friends from school that you have so much fun with. You say you miss school alot this summer. You love to swing and can pump super high. You love to help me cook and to make things yourself. Your favorite is peanut butter and jelly with chocolate milk. You love to make lemonade, although you dont drink it, lol. You have particular food choices still. You told me that you like strawberries because they are the color red and you like red, not because you like to eat strawberries. Ha! You crack me up. You like rides and we recently went on the giant slide and carousel together at the county fair. You had your first 2 stitches last week in the top of your finger, after you fell off your chair at dinner (we aren't sure how it happened), but were very brave at the er! You are a strong girl!

I can't wait to see what the next 100 years bring for you baby girl. We love you so very much.

Happy Birthday love!

Madison-->DC

Iz and I had a fabulous weekend visiting our old stomping ground in DC just before her birthday. What a special time for us girls. Here are a few pics from our trip.

Iz trying on a cheese hat at the airport in Madison.

Waiting to get on the plane! Iz was very excited!

Our tickets

Ooohhhh ....plane!

Hanging out with our good friends and old neighbors! Thanks for the great night guys. We miss you all sooooo much! Iz had remembered these flowers and looked forward to picking one!

Pool party with old friends.

Movie time. Philipe was very excited to see iz and wanted to be near her the whole night. We even had a sleepover!

The next day we got to meet baby elizabeth-and meet up with Barrie!! Iz calls her "Emily Elizabeth" and loved making her laugh.

Barrie and baby e.

We had an amazing weekend hanging our and being together. I loved meeting and spending time with Elizabeth and of course seeing Barrie again. Iz also enjoyed Baby e's toys. ;)

Iz loved riding "rodeo"

At the airport heading back to Madison. Almost missed our plane as we were waiting at the wrong gate- yikes!- luckily I realized in time and we had a smooth flight back home.

Iz I had a great time with you on our adventure. It was bittersweet seeing our old place and friends again- such great memories and people. We are blessed to have them in our lives still, if even in a small way.

The sweetest sight

After bedtime one night graham and I went to check on the kids and found them like this- (sorry picture is really dark).

They had moved into the same bed together and fell asleep cuddling. For all the sibling rivalry and fighting- this was the sweetest sight to see. Made my heart so happy. And we have found them like this most nights since then!

Big rigs

A few pics from a trip to check out some machines and trucks at the local baseball field. The kids loved it. Climbing up into the drivers seats and honking horns on big rigs-pretty awesome. ;-)
