Izzy the artist, age 5

Izzy at age 5, you still love art! With the start of kindergarten you've started to sound out and write words and make stories. You love doing this, and I love watching you come up with ideas, draw the pictures, sound out the words and try to write them! You are working so hard at school and were the first in your class to earn a "big award" for doing a great job at something.

I'm so proud of you. At age 5 you say you want to be an artist/author/illustrator. You also have started drawing portraits of yourself. I absolutely love watching you grow and develop, even though its been really hard for me to let go a little bit as you grow up! I love you and am so proud of all your good learning. I started volunteering in your class once a week and I can't wait to continue watching you and your classmates grow this year. A few of your early papers from the first few weeks of kindergarten.

Olbrich in fall

We recently went to olbrich gardens together- the kids and I - which is one of my favorite things to do with them. I love when we have a leisurely walk there and take our time walking around the gardens just taking in the beauty of all the plants and our surroundings. Having the kids get along is always a plus.;-) This was a fun trip. Izzy also really enjoys taking pictures with my phone while we are there. A few pics for memories.

And a few pics I took. One of my favs of the kids to date;)

Love these 2!! xoxo

And when we got back to the house the kids played for over an hour just being creative and "cooking up" all kinds of random concoctions. I love to watch their imagination in play- one of my favorite things!

A few fall/changing leaves tree pictures at our beloved park down the street. So beautiful- love fall!

Cherishing times together!

Pumpkin patch!

We went to a pumpkin patch near our house a few weeks ago and had a blast. Bodie and I went in the morning and then we came back with iz after she was out of school. The farm is called a "playtime" farm and has tons of kid activities and animals, plus hay rides, pumpkin patch and corn maze. It was super fun. My fav was the hay ride, although I missed having izzy there as she was in school. Second fav was probably the amazing caramel apple we shared- yummy!! I'm already looking forward to going back next year! ;-)

Happy Fall!

Beautiful sky the day at the pumpkin patch. Bodie says "mom the sky is cracking". Love it.

I am blessed.

Enjoying the fall!
