woohoo... weekends!

We have so enjoyed the cooler weather the past few weekends! We have taken advantage of the beautiful days and gone on some day trips around the area to state parks and green spaces.
I have been loving the weekends, our times together, and being out in nature all together.
We have also been enjoying family bike rides, walks to the local parks, and bbqs.
Just wanted to post a few pictures g and I have taken from our last few weekends.

I am feeling very blessed, hugging my kids tightly and enjoying good health and fun times together.

the classic "I'm crankypants don't try to help me I'm grumpy" look
Love this one- I was taking a picture for this couple on the scenic overlook and bodie stumbled over the ledge and bumped into me- causing a hilarious moment and blurry picture. G captured it perfectly here. I took a few more for them to make sure one was clear, =)
makes me smile

Today at Festge Park we had arrived and walked to the scenic overlook- as pictured above- and we turned around to go back to the playground equipment and to have our picnic, and saw this....

that would be 4 bus loads of teenage band members! 4!!!! It was hilarious. We let the kids play for a few minutes at the playground and then opted to head to a different park for our picnic. wow. it was really hilarious they just kept coming- and all dressed alike. 4 buses full.

And another weekend favorite of mine? Backyard BBQs! Spur of the moment bbq chicken and hot dogs plus some pandora music and marshmallows? A GREAT way to end the weekend!

iz loving the bbq
(notice bun bun all set up with his table and chair and dinner)

And to end the weekend. The sweetest picture of all. Storytime with dad. They were so excited to find their holiday jammies in their drawers too! I still remember my dad reading stories to mel and I when we were kids before bed- one of my favorite times and memories with him.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend too! Much love from WI.
