So much to be thankful for this year! We had a great day together, with some ups and downs. We attempted to complete a 5K walk/run as a family in the morning, and despite non-stop crying from our youngest member and freezing cold temperatures, we survived. Not sure if we will attempt that again next year...but we will see. =) In the afternoon we shared a thanksgiving meal with my good friend Kathy's family and I made grandma M's marshmellow fruit salad and Chris's pumpkin bread to share. They were both a hit. The kids enjoyed playing with other little ones during the afternoon, and we drove through the Christmas light display on our way home. It is hard to be away from our extended family and close friends during the holidays, but we hold them close in our hearts.
